The Torch Runner is featured on the obverse of this coin. The reverse features a very sleek and powerful eagle, perhaps fitting for the topic. Held in Atlanta Georgia for the first time this was the Centennial for the Olympic games, the amount of sports topically covered in this Commemorative series is record for the United States Mint. The 1995 Olympic Coin Series was in itself a collection. With nine coins in total between the Silver Dollars, Half Dollars and Gold for 1995 (counting the Special Olympics) not including that their are 3 different mints this makes for a total of 18 different coins in one year! What makes this coin very interesting is the extremely low mintages.
