A worthy investment for the special jeweler in your life this handmade vintage 10X loupe is as special as it is rare.

The finely detailed hand made basket weave and work throughout this loupe is one to treasure. It is further embellished with a two tone design with white gold details done in a diagonal style on each side and throughout the middle.

When closed the loupe locks securely into place and has a nice snug fit to it, it does not swing open by itself and functions as a well made well taken care of loupe should. When opened the loupe action is nice and stiff which shows the incredible condition it is in and provides a feel of quality and reliability. Atop the loupe is a special 'V-Shape' bail which measures approx 4.5m in height and 5mm in width. The center hoop is perfect for a rope or franco chain of 2 to 3mm in width, even 4mm may fit depending on the clasp of the chain.

The loupe is marked on the underside of the top bar '14K' Many other gold loupes that I have seen usually weigh around 20 grams with the glass, this one is on of the heaviest I have seen weighing in at about 34 grams with the glass.

The glass lens is 10x magnification and is in excellent condition and provides quality optics. The loupe has a very ornate design which really gives it a true vintage characteristic.This loupe has not been polished or cleaned, it shows normal patina on the top near the bail. It can always be cleaned and polished but we will leave that up to the jeweler and new owner of this piece. If you work with gold, diamonds and gemstones on a daily basis, then trust me there is nothing more special and rewarding then actually viewing these metals and stones with a solid 14K Gold Loupe.
