1894 $1 VF25 PCGS. With a mintage of just 110,000 coins, this issue is the first Morgan dollar rarity from the Philadelphia Mint, along with the proof-only 1895, and the conditionally rare 1901. While a few bags of 1894 Morgan dollars turned up during the middle of the 20th century, it does not appear that this date was part of the Treasury release that took place from 1962 to 1964.
