A gem, blatantly original example of this first year Type Two design, the most difficult of the three Three Cent Silver types in top grades. Both sides, but particularly the obverse, exhibit dappled reddish-brown toning in addition to a few isolated splashes of olive and emerald iridescence. The obverse has faint evidence of die clashing which does not affect the technical grade. Population as of July 2004 was 27 grade in MS65 with only 4 finer pieces. Old Green PCGS Holder.
