This question was asked me last year when a Bert Hobo nickel sold at the FUN show for almost $14,000 recently we saw a new ceiling when another Hobo sold for just under $25,000. So the question is "too much" or "not nearly enough"
I side on the not nearly enough...
Many of todays examples are one of a kind pieces that truly are remarkable works of art...at least IMHO
Watch carvers like Howard Thomas, Shane Hunter, Paolo Curcio, Aleksy Saburov, Marcus Hunt, Steve Cox who's work have been selling for such modest amounts ($100-$250) These are the sleepers today and I would suggest to my readers that now is a BUY period for these masterpieces.
